Lake Peck

Lake Peck is the 5th largest reservoir in the US, more coastline than the State of Ca. The dam was constructed in the late 30s with 56 thousand cubic yards of concrete. I had some tough days there due to wind. One day I made 4 miles and another only 3. An erratic coastline and 25-30 mph winds make for tough canoeing. Met some great folks from all over the country (world class walleye fishing).  I was even given a fish by Al and Laura for a stellar camp meal. And congrats Laura on your 31” personal record!

About Frank

Frank, a Father of 3, Papa of 7 never sits still for long! He is passionate about exploring and conquering new quests and is always looking forward to the next one!

In 2019, Frank embarked on his life long dream of hiking the AT, which he accomplished over a 5 month period! Just over a year later, in November 2020, he spent 8 weeks biking from San Diego, CA to New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Ten months after returning home, in November of 2021, Frank was diagnosed with a rare form of Lymphoma. The outlook was not promising, but Frank prevailed and is doing better than ever! It was one more conquered quest , albeit unplanned.

He is now embarking on a canoe trip along the Missouri River and will be raising money and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
