Morning walks herself in with a smile and clear skies. Very glad i cabined last night. Walk to the Wilderness Variety Store to get a quick bite and a drink. When i enter i see a grill and immediately play upon my indolent night and opt for a hot breakfast. I engage in conversation with three older gentlemen and am suddenly an hour later in my morning. I don’t really care. Hiking completely alone has changed the motivation and i really don’t have to be anywhere. Hell, i am already a THRU - HIKER!!  The guys insist on buying my breakfast and i move on pondering their gentle convivial lifestyle. A little more hitching and lots of gravel atv trails and i get to the worst shelter ever. The local atv and snowmobile crowd need to grow up. Trash, graffiti and stupidness make me sad and angry.

Frank, a Father of 3, Papa of 7 never sits still for long! He is passionate about exploring and conquering new quests and is always looking forward to the next one!

In 2019, Frank embarked on his life long dream of hiking the AT, which he accomplished over a 5 month period! Just over a year later, in November 2020, he spent 8 weeks biking from San Diego, CA to New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Ten months after returning home, in November of 2021, Frank was diagnosed with a rare form of Lymphoma. The outlook was not promising, but Frank prevailed and is doing better than ever! It was one more conquered

He is now embarking on a canoe trip along the Missouri River and will be raising money and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
